Bloom's Taxonomy

Bloom's taxonomy is a mainly used discussion of the five levels of learning that occur in one's life. According to Bloom, knowledge increases as one progresses through the levels of learning, where knowledge is the most surface level and evaluation represents the deepest form of learning.

Creativeness

Though a lecture was conducted earlier about creativeness, Mr. Rehan was discussing about creativeness in a different aspect where all the students enjoyed. We were advised earlier to make something creative and present it in the class.

All the students were ready with what they have prepared except for some students who were absent. So Mr. Rehan gave everyone a opportunity to present their product. At that point I just thought to my self though the product which some students have prepared were small in size, the creativeness which they have put on to it, the ability of thinking in each and every person is at a very high rate.
So my turn came to present what I had created. Actually I thought that my product was not very well done because though it was in a good state when I made it at home, my flower basket was kind of broken when I was going to present it. I made it with the use of magazine papers. It took me one whole day to do the folding and putting it together was the hardest part. But I really enjoyed because I had never ever tried to make a flower basket from paper magazines. So I presented it to the class and Mr.Rehan was kind of impressed to see my creation. :) So he wanted to have a close look of it. So I showed him the creation and he said it was good. :) I felt really happy because all the hard work had given me a good end result. :)

After everyone has presented their creation. Mr. Rehan told in common that he appreciates the effort which everyone had put on to make something though it was small or big. The main idea behind this creations was to show each and every student that they have a ability of thinking and some kind of creativity inside them in doing something.

Skills

First discussion was about  the creativeness of each and every student. First Mr. Rehan asked the students to raise their hands if they think they are creative in any way. Some people didn't raise their hands. So everyone was divided into two groups. One group had the people who thought they were creative  and the other group had people who thought they were not creative. The discussion was started between the students by asking the reason for the  students which thought they were not creative in any way? They came up with different answers. Some told that they can't identify them selves and some other opinions were added.
The same question was given to the students who told they were creative, and many opinions were gathered. Then Mr.Rehan gave a very good explanation and a example for everyone specially for the students who thought they were not creative and that made everyone agree on the statement that every person is creative in someway.

Every person does have some kind of creativeness inside them. The reason for some people to think that they are not creative is, because they don't understand creativeness properly.

According to brainstorming (2012) The technical term of creativity is " The bringing into being of something which did not exist before, either as a product, a process or a thought."

Creativity does not always mean that a person should develop something to the world, but it does have many aspects. For an example by the way we think of performing a task assigned would defer from person to person. The ability of thinking about some fact in a different angel and coming up with a solution can also be taken as creativeness of a person.

The next topic which was discussed  was about the skills each and every person has got. Skill can be defined in such away "When a certain activity is learned how to be done in a proper way it can be a skill of a particular person." Skills can be developed through practice and reflection.

If a person is interested in making his skills more perfect, it involves in developing personal qualities as well. The main qualities which can be identified are as follow,
  1. Awareness
  2. Commitment
  3. Determination
  4. Perseverance
  5. Self-motivation
  6. Time management
  7. Positive thinking
By going through each and every quality, you can be sure at the end you will be a very well skilled competitive in a particular field.

Imperfection In Me

I still can't totally understand what kind of a person I am? But I do know where I stand and the points where I am imperfect at.

I'm a very quite person, this quietness sometimes is not very good in all the situations.  Sometimes I don't have the ability to defend my self against injustice. Though I know or feel that some person is saying something wrong about me, I tend to keep quite.
Another imperfection which is inside me is to tell or show others who I really am. I know I have got something very unique inside me as every other person , but because I am shy or because of some reason sometimes I back down .
Though I know my own needs and weak points sometimes I don't have the ability to ask anyone for help. All I do is just keep quite. But sometimes I do go forward and ask for help but very rarely.
I really don't have the ability to argue with each other and to debate. I have stage fright and I am too nervous to talk to a group of strangers, but in front of my friends or class I have kind of got the ability to talk.

Perfection Vs Imperfection

The topic which was discussed was about Perfection and Imperfection. We were given the chance to talk/think about what we felt about two imperfects creating a perfect. Many students came out with their own ideas and thought.

Some were saying, according to the judgmental view of a person it can deffer. That means for an example if we think about the girlfriend or boyfriend someone has. The person who has a girlfriend or boyfriend always think that he/she is the perfect match for me. So in his/her own thoughts they tend to cover up the imperfection from the perfect things they have in each other. But another person who is looking at them can see a different view of it. Another person can say he/she is like this that, etc. This is because of the way we judge or think.

The next idea which was brought out by another student was, in any situation if we point out the weak points and work on them the end result will be more efficient and effective.

In my opinion, we were never created to be perfect in anything. If were created in such away you will never be able to live or exists in this world with other people. Though we think we are perfect in any field if we work on them or go down on that field there will be a point where you will find the imperfection in you on that particular field.

All we need to do is identify the weak points or the strong points on us and work  more harder on those points. Then at a certain point you will understand that you are making an improvement in your ways. but don't always think or boost  that I'm perfect in this and that. If you have the opportunity to learn more about the weak or strong points, be humble enough to learn them. The more you work on your strong or weak points the more you will be confident about them. There will be a time where you will feel that you are confident enough in your strong or weak points that will be the day where your mind will set the target saying yes I'm good in this, I can handle it by my self. In my opinion this is what imperfection creating perfection means.

Self- Evaluation

The lecture started out pretty interesting than I expected. The tutorials were handed over to all the students. All of a sudden Mr. Rehan told us to make use of the paper which was handed out, and make a airplane. At first everyone were kind of confused because we have ever heard of making airplanes. So some students were asking whether we should make an airplane or a rocket? But Mr. Rehan told over and over again that we should make an airplane. So everyone started making their own design. There were allot of new creations, but most of people including my self ended up making a rocket.

After the designs were made, each and every student were given a chance to fly their own design. But the main aim was to select the best design which would hit the whiteboard from a respectable distance. It was very exciting to see all the rockets flying here and there. Some designs failed to fulfill the requirement but where as some designs were able to meet the requirement correctly.

The main idea behind making these paper planes were to talk about how skills work together with knowledge. Some people were successful at the first attempt. This was because their knowledge or skills they had on this field.  Some were successful at the second attempt, that is after Mr.Rehan taught us how to make a proper structure of a airplane/ rocket. With the help of someone or something we can improve what we are trying to achieve. This might take our own skills/ knowledge plus the knowledge/skills which the helper/instructor has. When both are combined together achieving the target will be easier.

Assignment Work

The lecture started out a little bit scary. Mr. Rehan was a little bit angry, because as he had infromed us earlier some students have not e-mailed the blog address to him. So he was asking each and every student whether they did send it or not and if not the reason.

The Assignment papers were handed over to all the students. The lecture was about the assignment  Mr. Rehan was explaining about the assignment in detail so it will be very useful for the students to understand the content of the assignment. The weightage of the assignment is 100% and it has been divided into two different sections, each caring out 50%. The first task is to prepare a Reflective Portfolio Report. and the next task is to carry out a Research Report on any of the given topics and to do a presentation of the research done by every student.

After the detailed discussion of the assignment, Mr. Rehan told us to select a topic for our research. He made it a bit interesting he told us to select two topics out of the six. first choice and second choice and mail it to him. The first seven students who sends the earliest mails will get the topics which they selected and likewise then the six topics will be distributed among all the students equally.

What is a Reflective Blog

A reflective blog is some what similar to a diary which can be updated frequently or in daily basis. this blog mainly contains a persons opinions, comments and experiences regarding a subject or any topic.

Blogs can be written by any person, but the main reason for students in a university or in a class room, is to give away an opportunity for them to engage in and sustain conversations about their own work as well as their peers work. Moreover this will be a very good method for the students to get to know about their peers and about their writing abilities.

To research more on reflective blogs visit the following website http://madigitalarts.wikispaces.com/reflective+blog+research

The below video gives an idea of  Blogs.
